Whoa, I just got back from Quiznos and their Prime Rib toasted sub is sub-perb! LOL (I should write their slogans).. anywho, back to reality.

I have some sad news to report: My server has crashed. I guess a server containing 5 hard drives, a DVD Burner, a ZIP drive and 9 case fans needs a little more than a 300W power supply. No worries though.. I just picked up a 600W power supply which should solve my power issues… shouldn’t it? We’ll see when it gets here in a week or so. So, for the time being, my masterful website www.themaskedcrusader.com is not accessible. I’ll see if I can get it pointed to my friends website or redirect the URL here until it is fixed…. that’s a good idea – I’ll point www.themaskedcrusader.com to my Xanga blog until I get my server fixed.

Other than that, I haven’t had much time to work on my website since work took over my life. I was at the office until midnight last night working on a presentation. Luckily I got it done, but it was not fun to be sitting around here until then… and after that, once I got home, I watched Philadelphia (with Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington) until 2:00. I’ll bet you are thinking to yourselves, “He didn’t get into work on time.” Yeah, you’re right. I strolled in about 9:00. Its all good, I am caught up. It’s my lunch break and I thought I would write some things down. Hi!

Last night, before returning to work at 7, I played outside with my daughter, Emery, for quite a while. We slid down the slides, climbed monkey bars, and did all the playground things. I can’t believe that that was as fun as it was when we were kids. It’s kinda boring as an adult. But it’s all good – my daughter thinks I am a hero because I played with her. We’ll do it again tonight (assuming we can find the time.) I love my little girls. Ashlynn went to the doctor’s yesterday and got her shots… she has learned to hate the doctor, which is unfortunate. She screamed the whole time the nurses were in the room. She knows they equal pain, so she started freaking out as soon as they walked into the room. I know this is a little crude, but now I understand why dogs/cats hate the vet… they learn the same thing.

So, since my server is down, It looks like I’ll be forced to refrain from computer usage while at home. It’s good though… I can just relax. I won’t be able to work on my CRM at all, but I guess that’s not that big of a deal. I can think what I want to do with it. I am starting from scratch to build the functionality I want into the system. at first, it may be similar to other flat file CRMs because I am building it as a flat file, but after the system is built, I’ll recode the system into a MySQL Back end to make it more mainstream. Perhaps, I’ll release both versions, one for flat file use, and one for MySQL use. who knows. I know I am competing with other CRMs out there, including Neo’s, who happens to be helping me out a little bit 🙂 (thanks Neo),

Well, I guess that’s about all I know. Hope tomorrow is a little less stressful.

OH – I wanted to give a successful epilogue… If you have been following my stories, you’ll remember an entry from a couple weeks ago that my Verizon bill was over by about 1400 minutes. Well I got my bill and looked at it and found that the system recorded me surfing the Internet on my phone of all things for 1375 minutes. I called Verizon and they suggested that I may have logged online using my phone to view my plan minutes and when I disconnected my phone, their system recorded an additional 23 hours… until I made my next phone call. They are crediting my overage charges and my issue is solved. I love Verizon Wireless!
