Today is a special day.

Something is interesting about the number 9. First, if you multiply ANY number by the number 9, you can get back to nine by adding up all the digits of the product. For example:

9 x 5 = 45
4+5 = 9
9 x 23 = 207,
2+0+7 = 9
9 x 384 = 3456,
3+4+5+6 = 18,
1+8 = 9
9 x 7459 = 67131
6+7+1+3+1 = 18
1+8 = 9
That’s enough examples, but let it suffice that it will work with ANY number. So, we have just established that 9 is an awesome number. Well, what other patterns occur with the number 9? First, September 9th (9/9) is the 252 day of the year…. look at that, 2+5+2 = 9. WOW.. Let’s keep going. Today, in a little over 20 minutes, the time will be 09:09:09 09/09/09. That’s a lot of nines, so add the 9’s up and you get 09+09+09+09+09+09 = 54, 5+4 = 9. Ever heard of Unix time? Basically, it’s the number of seconds counted from Jan 1, 1970. Well, at 09:09:09 09/09/09, Unix time will read 1252487349 (you can do it yourself at http://www.onlineconversion.com/unix_time.htm)
But, let’s take that number and add it up:
1+2+5+2+4+8+7+3+4+9 = 45
4+5 = 9.
So, the world will probably end in just over 20 minutes…. Have a wonderful day!
(you’re probably safe though. On 09/09/99 at 09:09:09, the Unix time was 936868149. and

9+3+6+8+6+8+1+4+9 = 54
5+4 = 9…

and the world didn’t end then either.)
