In two weeks, Pack 6412 will be having their Space Derby. We will be building and decorating rockets and launching them into the sky. We will have a station to launch 2 liter soda bottle rockets, so if you would like to make one, You'll be able to send it up.
The following pages have great instructions and information about water rockets:
- Rocket Build Instructions (With Videos)
- Scouter Webpage with Instructions
- Really good step-by-step build instruction
- Wikipedia Article on Water Rockets
- NASA Page on Why Water Rockets are important
And finally, A team of scientists at the Univerity of Nottingham have created this video which explains the physics of rockets, Propultion Efficiency, and they use a water rocket to demonstrate the science behind propultion. Check it out!
Now that you have your water rocket and know the science behind it, Come join our Pack Meeting on August 9th at the Stake Center pavilion and launch your Water Bottle Rocket!
